Marshall extends lifestyle range with first branded vinyl jukebox

The British amplifier giants continue their expansion into consumer audio.

Marshall Amplification has teamed up with Europe’s only classic jukebox manufacturer in Sound Leisure to create Marshall’s first branded vinyl-playing jukebox.

Marshall’s notoriety lies within their on-stage equipment like guitar amps, cabinets, and pedals, but this jukebox is another addition to their ever-growing off-stage range.

The Marshall vinyl jukebox joins their lifestyle family of portable speakers, headphones, and of course, their beer, which an argument could be made for its onstage importance.

Visually based on Sound Leisure’s 1950s-styled Rocket, Marshall boasts that “fans will love the brushed gold castings and instantly recognisable buttons, fret cloth, piping, logo’s and tolex material which wraps the jukebox cabinet, reflecting the finish of the famous amplifier cabs”.

While they aimed to capture the iconic Marshall look, the sound is instantly recognisable as well.

Marshall engineers tuned the jukebox to a specific EQ curve which a D4 amplifier boosts, in addition to having two stereo outputs of 60W RMS per channel to connect to external speakers.

Two mids, two tweeters, and a 12-inch twin cone bass speaker make up the speaker configuration which can play 140 selections (A/B side) of its 70 stored seven-inch vinyl records.

The jukebox also includes an auxiliary input and output as well as Bluetooth connectivity to stream direct from your device.

Marshall claims it is built to last for generations with a price tag of £9,495 (approx. $16,976AU), while also including a certificate of authenticity and individual numbering.
