Manley announce Massive Passive XXV

Manley Massive Passive XXV
Words by Mixdown Staff

The Massive Passive XXV is a standard Massive Passive, featuring all the bells and whistles of the regular units, but super exclusive and limited to just 100 units.

You’ll often see the Massive Passive racked up at some of the biggest studios in the world, being controlled by some of the most prolific mixers. It’s a tried and true design, trusted by the best in the industry for both its comprehensive controls, as well as its ability to make easy work of some heavy lifting.

The XXV is a stereo, tube-powered EQ, with four bands per channel, as well as High and Low Pass and overall Gain controls. Its bandwidth controls differ from Q controls, operating more musically and allowing the music to breathe without the EQ adjustments feeling too heavy handed. The Massive Passive has been on the market for 25 years, Manley celebrating with the Massive Passive XXV. The XXV is Manyley’s classic tube EQ, refinished in a deep-blue finish complete with laser-engraved artwork, as opposed to the subtle violet the Massive Passives are usually sport.
