What’s new in MKII
The Precision MKII delivers several key upgrades that push studio monitoring forward. The new ARC X Acoustic Correction system dramatically upgrades the original’s auto-calibration to full acoustic correction, while new speaker customisation options and virtual monitor profiles create the most advanced mixing experience IK has offered.
Hardware improvements include an ultra-lightweight tweeter design with graphene reinforcement that enhances rigidity, improves transparency, and minimises distortion. The redesigned enclosure optimises sonic clarity for precise transient response and improved soundstage presentation – crucial for immersive setups.
Newly built-in fixing mounts and dedicated metal brackets (sold separately) make mounting easier while allowing precise angle adjustments for optimal positioning.

ARC X integration
The real game-changer is ARC X – IK’s new Advanced Response Correction technology that delivers intelligent 3D acoustic correction directly into workflows. Unlike basic room correction, ARC X automatically analyses the listening area at three distinct heights, creating a comprehensive 3D snapshot that identifies acoustic issues without over-processing.
The result feels like mixing in a properly treated room rather than fighting digital correction artifacts. ARC X generates precise corrections for flat frequency response, eliminating room-induced problems that can cloud mixing decisions. The correction profile loads directly onto the monitor for standalone use.
Beyond correction, ARC X offers customizable system tuning and advanced speaker emulation of over 20 iconic systems, from high-end studio monitors to consumer playback devices.
Free updates for everyone
ARC X software replaces both X-MONITOR and ARC 4, coming included with Precision MKII. Original iLoud Precision owners can download ARC X free through IK Product Manager, along with firmware updates.
The software is also free for registered owners of iLoud Micro Monitor Pro, iLoud MTM MKII, ARC Studio, and ARC 4, enabling better mixing across IK’s entire monitor ecosystem.
Professional integration
Built-in fixing mounts and optional mounting brackets simplify integration into immersive environments like Dolby Atmos rooms or complex multi-channel setups. The optional iLoud Precision Wired Remote Control lets users switch between up to four ARC X profiles, assign functions like Mute or Dim, and manage room correction directly from the listening position.
The completely redesigned firmware enables faster feature updates within the ARC ecosystem, ensuring continuous improvements in setup, correction, and control while keeping systems at the forefront of audio innovation.
