What better place for an Orchid to grow than a Garden?
Kevin Parker of Tame Impala fame announced a new company this week, Telepathic Instruments, along with their first synth. Telepathic Instruments think of Orchid as a new kind of instrument. Not just a chord machine, but sort of an *ideas machine*. A different way to play and write songs. And like any new idea, Telepathic Instruments think the Orchid will change and grow in unexpected ways. Orchid is a new kind of instrument that helps songwriters and musicians find what’s on their mind.
In addition to the synth itself, they’ll also be launching The Garden: a free online community (powered by Patreon) where their first users (and anyone who’s curious about Orchid) can talk directly with the Telepathic Instruments team. It’ll be a place to offer feedback on the product, to get and share advice on how to use the Orchid, write songs, and more. These conversations will help shape and refine features, performance modes, sounds, and future iterations of the synth. What better place for an Orchid to grow than a Garden?
An advanced chord generating hardware synthesizer developed for songwriters, producers and musicians to expand the possibilities of songwriting and musical exploration.
