JBL Professional expands SRX900 series with new powered loudspeakers

Words by Mixdown

Leading audio giant HARMAN has announced three new point-source models and a full range of accessories to its scalable powered speaker system.

JBL Professional has expanded its SRX900 Series with three new powered point-source loudspeakers and a full range of rigging and mounting accessories. The additions bring more flexibility to the platform, with more options for touring, rental, installation, and live production setups.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

SRX912M: The expansion includes the SRX912M, a compact 12-inch two-way powered speaker that punches well above its weight. Despite its small footprint, it delivers impressive output, making it a solid choice for low-profile stage monitoring, main PA duties, or front fill applications.

SRX915M: Stepping up, the SRX915M is a high-output 15-inch two-way powered speaker designed for applications needing more low-frequency extension and headroom. It works well as a main PA or high-performance stage monitor where you need that extra push.

SRX922: The SRX922 rounds out the trio as a compact dual 12-inch powered point-source speaker with an acoustically three-way design in a trapezoidal enclosure. It’s built for situations requiring high output and precise directivity control—think high-output mains, side-fills, or as a point-source element in larger SRX900 deployments.

All three models work seamlessly with the existing SRX900 ecosystem, sharing the same voicing, amplification, and DSP across the range. The unified software ties everything together through JBL Venue Synthesis for 3D acoustic simulation, JBL Performance for system management, and ArrayLink for setup and configuration.

JBL’s also released a new range of rigging, mounting, and transport accessories to support the expanded lineup. Options include horizontal and vertical U-brackets, array frames, truss clamps, transport carts, and covers—handling both fixed installations and portable setups.

The SRX900 platform draws on transducer technologies developed for JBL’s flagship touring systems, with woofers built on the company’s Differential Drive dual-voice-coil, dual-gap design. On the processing side, you get 24-band parametric EQ and 2,000 ms of delay, plus JBL’s Array Size Compensation filter that corrects tonal shifts across different array sizes.

Protection comes via JBL’s LevelMax limiter suite, co-developed with Crown engineers for Crown’s I-Tech HD touring amplifiers. The system supports HARMAN’s HControl Ethernet protocol, which makes network setup easier without needing complex IP addressing.

“The SRX900 platform is continually evolving to meet the realities of today’s productions and users,” said George Georgallis, Senior Director of Product Management, Tour Sound at HARMAN Professional Solutions. “With this expansion, we’re extending that commitment even further—offering greater flexibility to achieve more, while maintaining the signature sound and trusted performance the SRX900 platform is known for.”
