If you know Gojira, you know exactly what kind of guitar this needs to be.
Jackson has partnered with Gojira guitarist Christian Andreu to create the Pro Plus Series Signature Rhoads RR24 EVTN6, and it’s as heavy as the band’s riffs.
The foundation is a three-piece neck-thru construction combining graphite reinforcement with alder wings, a build approach that prioritises sustain, stability and the kind of resonance that translates Andreu’s earth-shaking tone from stage to record. Topping the neck is a 12″-16″ compound radius ebony fingerboard loaded with 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, making chunky rhythm work just as comfortable as full-speed lead playing.

A Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker sits in the bridge position, accessed via a 3-way mini toggle that cycles through three distinct voicings. From the kind of crushing high-gain aggression Gojira is known for through to articulate clean tones, the range on offer is broader than you might expect from a dedicated metal instrument.
The EverTune F6 bridge handles tuning stability, a mechanical self-tensioning system that keeps the guitar in perfect pitch regardless of how hard the strings are hit, bent or abused. Paired with Jackson’s sealed locking tuners, it’s a setup designed to hold its own on the most demanding touring schedules.
“This Pro Plus Series signature is the culmination of everything we’ve learned about extreme performance,” says Jon Romanowski, VP of Product at Jackson, “built to withstand the most punishing tour conditions while delivering the sonic brutality that defines Gojira’s legendary sound. We’re proud to collaborate with a groundbreaking artist who shares our commitment to creating instruments that unleash musicians’ full creative potential.”
For metal guitarists who want a properly spec’d instrument built around a player at the top of the genre, the RR24 EVTN6 is a hard one to overlook.
