InGrooves has recently expanded to the Australian market, where they’ll be seeking to create a national impact by providing artists with cutting-edge marketing, distribution and rights management tools. They’re on the hunt for an experienced digital guru to join the team as Manager, Label & Business Development, where they’ll be spearheading InGrooves’ growth by forming networks and assisting with day-to-day digital operations in Sydney. 


Skills / Experience Required:

  • Experience within a label, distribution, DSP or management company working with labels, managers and artists, preferred.

  • Passionate about music discovery and a fan of independent music with the ability to represent Ingrooves in the marketplace

  • Knowledge and relationships in the independent music community

  • Proven business development and relationship management track record

  • Experience with digital and physical retail distribution is a plus

  • Affinity to local Hip Hop/ genre-bending Gen Z artists is a plus


Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the day to day relationships with key label partners in Australia and New Zealand, acting as the primary point of contact externally to the label and internally representing their labels’ interests

  • Identify and create new label/ content partner opportunities. Work with Business Development team to target, approach and negotiate new deals

  • Manage, organise and oversee label and release presentations

  • Manage label partners’ priority release campaign logistics from inception through to analysis, working with other internal departments as necessary

  • Liaise with all internal departments including sales strategy, engagement, video, operations, insights & analytics, finance and legal to ensure all label partners’ business needs are met

  • Manage assigned labels’ physical and digital product logistics and operations

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide operational support for TikTok’s Music Editorial team, including updating and developing playlists, in-app promotional banners, and creative visual effects.

  • Curate and localize in-app music content for the market 

  • Manage music CMS and work with Global Music HQ team on day to day content management

  • Develop and use internal reporting tools to identify trending songs and evaluate the performance of programmed music. 

  • Identify and pitch music-related trends for broader Editorial consideration. 

  • Under direction of Director of Music, work with music industry stakeholders to develop editorial processes and priorities 

  • Liaise with artists and creators to drive music success on TikTok

  • Maintain schedule of music releases and editorial campaigns 

  • Work cross-functionally with TikTok partnerships and design to facilitate music-components of paid and partnership-driven campaigns. 

  • Compile song performance data

  • Provide support in the development of ad hoc reports for the music team

  • Co-develop launch plans for key programming tentpoles and coordinate execution with cross-functional partners, including Marketing and Partnerships

  • Generate creative ideas and help drive internal pitch process
