Live Nation will begin trialling socially distanced shows this month

The entertainment company has teamed up with Vodafone for the events, which will feature a rotating lineup of local musicians and comedians.

A number of precautions will be taken to ensure the health and safety of staff and attendees, including staggered entry times, contact tracing and temperature screening on entry. Staff will also be required to wear masks and gloves while the venue capacity will be reduced to 100 people and physical distancing measures will be enforced.

Contactless technologies will also be in use, with punters able to order drinks using their phones to be brought to them, rather than having a bunch of people queueing at the bar.

Together Again will launch next weekend at Auckland’s Tuning Fork with Urzila Carlson and friends on Friday May 29 and Hollie Smith on Saturday 30. Pending the success of these shows, this could mark the first steps towards reviving live entertainment.
