BIGSOUND announces 2019 dates, new venue

The annual Australian live music bonanza is set to go down from Tuesday 3 – Friday 6 September in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley Live Music Precinct, with the theme for this year’s festivities being ‘The Artist as CEO,’ promoting positive business and creative decisions to supplement musicians nationwide.

This year’s BIGSOUND will stray from its traditional home at Brisbane’s Judith Wright Centre in favour of Cloudland, a refined facility closer to Fortitude Valley offering further conference and meeting rooms. This year’s rendition of the event also sees Tom Larkin (Shihad, VVV Management) assisting the conference events and Melody Forghani (Twnty Three) and Tim Shiel (Spirit Level, Double J) joining the live music team to create an all encompassing musical experience for all attendees.

If that’s not enough, BIGSOUND Tech is also making its return to the conference, giving tech entrepreneurs the chance to show off their works in front of an audience of musicians and industry figures. Applications for artist passes are also open today – if you’re serious about giving your music career a red hot crack, best get onto this one real quick.
