The HD X connects your iPad, tablet, Mac or PC via USB, features a guitar in as well as a mono amplifier out/thru jack like the iRig 2. What this means is you can use the iRig like an effects unit, processing your sound and sending it on to your amplifier, effected.
The low-noise input can handle the SPL of either active or passive pickups, and is bus-powered so you won’t need additional power cables while using the iRig HD X. Including the TONEX and AmpliTube, the HD X includes everything you need to start using it. The unit is almost completely occupied by a single knob, used to control Headphone volume, FX/THRU, Direct monitoring and Loopback+ mode. Loopback+ mode is the iRig’s virtual effects loops, used to send signal to other apps if and when needed!
The iRig HD X has improved, offering 24-bit/96 kHz audio conversion and audiophile-grade 1/8″ stereo out for headphones and monitors.
