Along with the eight inputs, the new OctoPre has a dedicated insert for each channel, each with low distortion and noise preamps, with the ability to activate Focusrite’s proprietary ‘All-analogue Air’ setting on each, which emulates the classic Focusrite ISA 110 preamps.
The high quality A-D and D-A conversion allows for easy multitrack recording and works exceptionally well with outboard gear and effects. With the ability to easily expand existing interfaces such as 2Pre, 4Pre, and 8Pre over ADAT.
The unit also features eight line outputs, word clock in and out, and ADAT supports eight channels, both in and out at 48 kHz.
Signature JFET guitar inputs are also included in the two front panel inputs, to help capture clean recording while plugged directly into the interface.
Along with the hardware itself, the unit also comes with a range of VST plugins from Brainworx, Focusrite, LXN Audio, Softube and more, to help expand your studio.
The Clarett+ OctoPre will retail at US$919.99
