Australia's loudest week in music approaches as BIGSOUND 2025 adds final touches to its massive Brisbane takeover.
Final preparations are underway as Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley prepares to transform into the centre of Australia’s music universe. BIGSOUND 2025 has locked in its last-minute additions, including new showcases and acts that promise to make this year’s event the biggest yet.
Latest additions to the program include Good Sniff, Loose Content and BIG NOTER, the punk-fuelled heavy project from keynote speaker BRIGGS, fresh from touring with Tom Morello, Amyl and the Sniffers and Karnivool. New sessions include Sounds Like The Gold Coast and Heavy Music Meet Up, filling every gap in an already packed schedule.

Secret showcases are becoming the talk of the festival, with Amazon Music Sessions Up Late taking over The Prince Consort stage. Line-ups for these mystery shows will drop just two hours before showtime, keeping festival-goers on their toes throughout the week.
After-hours entertainment promises to keep the party alive well into the night. Believe presents BIGSOUND Afterdark brings electronic acts Rromarin, Hii Spirits, WILL K and HARLEY GIRL for late Wednesday night festivities. Select Music celebrates their 20th birthday with a showcase featuring Aleksiah, Mudrat, Shady Nasty, Radium Dolls, Stella Donnelly and Teenage Joans, plus DJ sets from DZ Deathrays, Jungle Giants and Kisschasy.
NETTWERK marks 40 years with a DJ set from Mel Blue at the BIGSOUND Vinyl Bar by Archie Rose. Meanwhile, book signing sessions will see Dave Roundtree of Blur meeting fans at The Vinyl Bar on Thursday morning, with Darcus Beese also making appearances after his keynote session.
Public programming ensures everyone can experience the BIGSOUND atmosphere, with Brunswick Street Mall Stage offering free all-day entertainment and Goolwal Garden providing art exhibitions, workshops and panels until 6pm daily. Visual installations as part of BIGSOUND IN Colour will transform the entire valley into a festival wonderland.
Brisbane City Council’s support enables comprehensive programming that showcases Queensland’s vibrant music scene to global audiences. Over 500 events, 138 speakers and 130 bands will bring more than 50 venues and 18 stages to life across three days.
Limited passes remain available with three-night festival passes at $89, youth tickets for under 25s at $25 for single nights, and full delegate passes at $799.
