Fender has added two new pedals to its Hammertone series – the Hammertone Breakup Drive and Hammertone Boost – giving players more tonal building blocks to shape their sound.
Both pedals give players more tonal options to play with, and they’re designed to work brilliantly solo or stacked. It’s classic Hammertone – essential, versatile tones that adapt to however you play.

Hammertone Breakup Drive
The Breakup Drive brings responsive, tube-like overdrive characteristics in a compact package. Built around a JFET-based circuit, it’s engineered to replicate the dynamic feel of hot valves pushed to the edge of saturation – the kind that cleans up beautifully with a lighter touch and growls when you dig in.

Two selectable clipping modes offer everything from subtle breakup to low-gain overdrive, with expressive responsiveness that reacts to your playing dynamics. Expansive tone control works alongside a switchable pre-gain mid boost, providing flexible frequency shaping to dial in your ideal sound. Whether you’re adding character to a clean tone or delivering touch-sensitive grit, this pedal prioritises feel and nuance.
Hammertone Boost
The Boost takes a dual-circuit approach, housing two distinct boost flavours in a single enclosure. A Type switch allows you to choose between a clean, op amp-based boost for transparent volume lift or a JFET-based option that adds warmth and harmonic richness reminiscent of vintage tape unit preamps.
Centre-detented treble and bass controls make it easy to achieve a completely flat boost or sculpt your frequencies with precision—cutting or enhancing as needed. Use it to cleanly push solos forward, drive your amp into natural breakup, or add subtle sweetness to your core tone.
Both pedals are available now at $159 AUD each. Head here for more information.
