“We are thrilled to honor and celebrate our artists and their authentic voices every day,” says Elizabeth Heidt, Vice President of Cultural Influence, Gibson Brands. “Through their activism Jaime, Emily, and Gina are an inspiration to a younger generation, we stand with them and are proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community.”
Of the three acts performing, up first is Gina Chavez, an internationally acclaimed Latinx pop artist redefining Latin music in Texas. She has been awarded 12 Austin Music Awards, is an ambassador to the US State Department and her Tiny Desk Concert has racked up millions of views on Youtube.
Also performing is Nashville based musician Jaime Wyatt, who came out as a gay woman at the age of 34. “Being that I came out in my 30’s, I understand how important it is to have more visibility for people in the LGBTQIA community to help others find their identity.”
Emily Wolfe, who has her own Epiphone signature guitar is playing alongside Gina and Jaime. Based in Austin, Wolfe blurs the lines between rock and roll and pop genres with her music.
The concert will be streaming on Epiphone’s Facebook and Youtube from 6pm Central Time (9am AEST) on June 30 2021.
