Delving into the professional gaming market is far from a bombastic move as the weight and currency the industry holds is only going to exponentially increase.
While they’re only relatively new, Austrian Audio has already made a big impact with microphones and headphones and this latest addition is no different.
Housed in their traditional red and black colourway, the PG16’s include their proprietary High Excursion Technology which features “optimal” 44mm drivers and the “strongest” ring magnet system in its class.
Crystal-clear audio was the priority and why not? That’s the key sell for gaming headphones as immersion becomes so vital in the game development and playing experience, so having that translatable is what any gamer will seek.
They provide “perfect spatiality, allowing you to precisely locate even the quietest sound details.
“No opponent creeps up unnoticed and you get a clear edge over your competitors on the virtual battlefield.”
The closed-back design adds to that immersion as the PG16’s pull no punches externally featured metal hinges instead of plastic, with soft memory foam earpads for those long sessions.
The headphones are foldable which Austrian Audio said is “uncommon” in this price range, while they are multi-platform compatible (anything with a TRRS socket), and come with TeamSpeak certification.
People often get concerned when quality manufacturers enter consumer markets but they’ve dropped a wonderful product here it seems.
