Audio-Technica are continuing their 60th anniversary celebrations with the limited edition releases of their “finest wireless headphones” and a Manual Belt-Drive Turntable made from high-density clear acrylic.

These products join the exceptional Anniversary line-up that includes the ATH-W2022 Wooden Audiophile Headphones and the AT-MC2022 Dual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge.

The ATH-WB2022s are Bluetooth headphones that feature the world’s first completely balanced audio output system for wireless headphones. The ATH-WB2022 is crafted from layered woods and supports up to 24-bit/96 kHz high-resolution music listening.

Each ATH-WB2022 is finely crafted in Audio-Technica’s facility in Naruse, Tokyo, Japan. The housings are made from flame maple, walnut, and mahogany, and provided by renowned Japanese guitar maker Fujigen. These are combined with Alcantara ear pads and headbands.

The newly developed balanced audio output system employs two leading-edge ESS ES9038Q2M DACs, one for each channel. Two top of the line Nisshinbo Micro Devices’ MUSES05 op-amps are used for each channel for the input and for the output stage, in a fully balanced configuration to ensure unmatched channel separation, imaging, and transient response.

In addition, the ATH-WB2022 uses separate, rechargeable batteries for each channel. This exclusive balanced audio output system ensures remarkable clarity and resolution, with zero crosstalk or noise between the left and right channels. The ATH-WB2022 incorporates a new 45 mm driver with a magnetic circuit and a DLC-coated diaphragm.

The ATH-WB2022 comes with a high-quality Audio-Technica condenser mic for clear audio quality when making phone calls. It offers up to nine hours of continuous use on a full charge, and its multipoint pairing function allows users to stay connected to two Bluetooth devices at once.

The Limited Edition Audio-Technica ATH-WB2022 wireless wooden headphones will be available at selected audio retailers in early 2023 for $5,999.

The AT-LP2022 turntable is built upon a 30 mm thick, high-density clear acrylic chassis that reduces unwanted resonances while imparting a distinctive look. The chassis is complemented by a transparent anti-resonant acrylic platter with a mounted black AT-VM95E cartridge and also includes a clear AT-VMN95SH Shibata stylus.

The turntable’s sensor-monitored belt-drive motor system provides quiet, accurate and stable playback of 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records. It features a carbon-fibre tonearm mounted on a metal base, with adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle), tracking force and anti-skating.

An elliptical AT-VM95E is premounted on the AT-HS4-SV headshell, and the AT-VMN95SH, a special-edition Shibata stylus with a clear housing, is also included. The VM95 cartridge platform also offers additional stylus shapes to accommodate listeners’ vinyl playback preferences.

The AT-LP2022 features newly designed isolation feet that are height-adjustable. The turntable’s external power supply prevents any unwanted electronic noise from intruding upon the sonic purity of the signal.

The AT-LP2022 also comes with a removable dust cover, detachable RCA cable and 45 RPM adapter.

The Audio-Technica AT-LP2022 Belt-Drive Turntable will be available at selected audio retailers in early 2023 for $2,499.
