Thrash metal titans Anthrax will return to Australia in March 2026 for four shows across the east coast and Adelaide. Live Nation confirmed today that the New York-based band, one of the legendary “Big Four” of thrash metal, are heading back to the country for the first time since 2019.

Anthrax emerged from New York’s thrash scene in the early 1980s alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer, collectively forming thrash metal’s “Big Four.” Their influence on heavy music remains undeniable, with a sound that’s as bold and uncompromising today as it was during their breakthrough years.
