Retaining the classic Ampeg look seen across several of the brand’s most iconic offerings, the Rocket Bass Series looks to optimise the convenience of the player by featuring compact enclosures and versatile tonal controls.

Ranging from miniature practise rigs like the RB-108 and RB-110 through to the larger RB-112, RB-115 and RB-210 amplifiers, these amps are best suited for rehearsals, recordings and performing in small-to-medium rooms. The weight range of the Rocket Bass Series spans from 10.5kg up to 17.7kg, which should provide players with some reprieve from lugging around bulky cabs and heads.

Each amplifier in the series features a three-band EQ, Ultra Hi and Ultra Low emphasis switches and the all-new Super Grit circuit to dial in the overdrive.

All models above the RB-108 also boast an XLR line output to make for a simple solution for live DI-ing, with every model in the range also featuring auxiliary inputs and headphones outputs.

“With the introduction of Rocket Bass, Ampeg has an industry-leading series of amps for players at every step of their journey,” Dino Monoxelos, Ampeg Brand Marketing Manager, said of the new range.

“Simply put, we wanted to design the ultimate bass combos, sacrificing nothing in terms of tone or aesthetics. Most important, Rocket Bass is designed for the practical player that doesn’t want to give up stage-ready looks, roadworthy construction, and killer tone just because they prefer the practicality of a combo amp.”
