Every year around this time, I’m drawn to music with a ‘Christmas’ feel—the soft chime of bells in the mix, or the somehow festive sounds of the Yamaha PS-20 all over Beach House’s Depression Cherry. We’ve all got our associations. This is mine, and it gets me into the holiday spirit every time.
The season has a way of making you appreciate craft—gifting something made with care, something built to last. Innovation, locally made gear, and the genuine care makers pour into their work thread through this issue. It’s more than just “buy local”, but knowing where your tools come from and who’s putting their heart into building them.
