The latest addition to UJAM's Symphonic Elements series draws directly from Hans Zimmer's personal orchestral library to deliver cinematic choral textures without the complexity of traditional choir programming.
A convincing choir has always been one of the harder things to pull off in a plugin. UJAM’s answer is Symphonic Elements CHOOIR, a dedicated choir instrument built from samples sourced directly from film composer Hans Zimmer’s personal orchestral library.

Available for preorder now ahead of a May 13 release, CHOOIR rounds out the Symphonic Elements series, which already includes STRIIIINGS, DRUMS, BRAASS and PERRCS, with the vocal element producers have been asking for most.
Traditional choir libraries demand voice-by-voice arrangement, careful key switching and often painstaking word programming to get a result that sounds remotely convincing. CHOOIR takes a different approach: pre-arranged textures across bass, tenor, alto, soprano and boys ensembles, with multiple vowel and consonant articulations ready to drop into an arrangement. The phrase-based engine handles the heavy lifting, generating cohesive performances that sit naturally in a mix without extensive editing.
“A choir has been the number one request from our users, to a degree that it became an in-joke. I’m so happy we could finally close this gap,” said Peter Gorges, UJAM co-founder. “Since this is based on Hans’s own material, users will quickly hear that familiar cinematic palette he’s known for come through in their own work.”
The source material is worth noting, as the samples are drawn from Zimmer’s own orchestral recordings, and bring a tonal character that’s already doing a lot of work before you’ve touched a preset. It’s the same palette behind some of the most recognisable film scores of the past three decades.
Beyond the ensemble content, CHOOIR includes 100 presets across 9 categories covering basic, epic and atmospheric textures, along with 70 styles in 9 categories. UJAM’s signature Motion, Character and Finisher controls are also on board for further sound shaping.
The plugin supports VST2, VST3, AU2 and AAX formats on both macOS and Windows.
Symphonic Elements CHOOIR is available for preorder now, with a full release on May 13, 2026. More details at ujam.com.
