Slomosa are heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in May for their debut Australian shows.

Bergen four-piece Slomosa have been steadily building an international reputation since their self-titled debut dropped in 2020, and fans in Australia will finally get a chance to experience their heavy, groove-driven sound in person.

Slomosa describe their style as Tundra Rock, a cold-climate twist on the desert rock sounds pioneered by bands like Kyuss and Elder, with a healthy dose of Black Sabbath’s heft thrown in for good measure.

  • 22 May, Max Watts, Melbourne
  • 23 May, Crowbar, Sydney
  • 24 May, Crowbar, Brisbane

Presale from 30 January, general sale from 3 February via thephoenix.au. The band features Benjamin Berdous on guitar and vocals, Marie Moe on bass and vocals, Tor Erik Bye on guitar and Jard Hole behind the kit. Together they’ve developed a sound that balances crushing riffs with surprisingly catchy songwriting, earning them slots on major European festival stages including Hellfest, Freak Valley and Bergen Fest.

Their live reputation has landed them support slots with Mastodon, Helmet and Alkaline Trio, with a US tour alongside Alkaline Trio in 2024 cementing their standing as a band built for rooms where volume matters. Their 2023 album Cabin Fever showcased tighter songwriting and grittier narratives, setting the stage for this Australian run.

Three dates across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane mean fans won’t have to travel far to catch them. Presale kicks off on 30 January at 9am local time, with general tickets available from 3 February.
