The American music brand has shaped sound across generations, becoming one of the most loved guitar brands around the world.

One of the true pioneers of the electric guitar and pickup designs, Gibson is proud to honour this history with the all-new Gibson Pickup Shop – offering a variety of pickup styles in historic, original, and modern collections, there’s something for all types of players.

Gibson’s hand-assembled pickups incorporate the highest quality materials and superior construction, built at the Gibson Pickup Shop in Nashville, Tennessee.

They feature specially made magnets, maple wood spacers, high-quality cover materials, and four-conductor or vintage two-conductor wiring.

Each pickup magnet is magnetised at the Pickup Shop, and the use of maple spacers (and not plastic) helps reduce those unwanted vibrations.

The use of the Swiss-made Meteor ME-301 coil winding machine, a historic winding machine used by Gibson in the ‘50s, provides high accuracy and precision, with winders that can handle a large quantity of coils simultaneously.

The Gibson Pickup Shop Original Collection pays tribute to the past, housing the coveted ’57 Classics, P90s, Burstbuckers, and more that have shaped sound across all generations and genres.

The Modern Collection builds on a legacy of innovation, with modern components mixed with higher output and includes pickups like the 490R, 498T, and 500T.

The Historic Collection delivers vintage tone inspired by the Gibson Golden Era that gave birth to the Custombucker – one of the most prized Gibson pickups.

Each hand-assembled pickup celebrates Gibson’s legacy through accuracy, authenticity, and attention to detail.
