Kllo announce new album Maybe We Could, share lead single ‘Still Here’

‘Still Here’ expands on the sonics that Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul explored across 2017’s Backwater, offering itself as a sublime slice of post-Burial electro-pop. Drenched in reverberated keys and driven by an off-kilter garage groove and pitched vocal chops galore, it’s one hell of a lead single, and sets a quality pretense for whatever else is to follow in the coming months.

In a post to their Instagram, the duo reflected on the origins of the track, saying that ‘Still Here’ “was such a hard song to put together for so many reasons. It went through many versions and was sent to the trash many times. But we pursued it, put everything into it and tried our hardest to make something special for you. We hope it’s a warm companion in your home.” It’s also accompanied by a video, directed by famed Tame Impala / Pond filmmaker Matt Sav – watch it below.

Maybe We Could, the new album from Melbourne duo Kllo, arrives on Friday July 17.
