ROUGH TRADE SESSIONS PRESENTS: PARQUET COURTS

New Album Out Now

Indie rock's favourite anti-rock stars, Parquet Courts, have finally dropped Human Performance, an album that has been highly anticipated.

To coincide with the album’s release, the Brooklyn-based band have teamed up with the legendary Rough Trade records for a series of live videos, showcasing tracks from the new album.

Titled ‘Parquet Courts In Session’, these videos capture the essence of Parquet Courts’ dissonant slacker rock, but we also see a band evolving beyond their original song writing format. Frontman Andrew Savage cites existential crises as the catalyst for the band’s exciting new direction. "I began to question my humanity, and if it was always as sincere as I thought, or if it was a performance,” says Savage. Whatever Savage’s emotional state may be, we are thankful for it because Human Performance is a an album of genuine artistic vision coupled with alarming accessibility.
