Only six months after the release of the Quantum Thunderbolt, PreSonus have doubled up with a new downsized version of the interface, aptly named the Quantum 2.
Featuring 24bit/192kHz converters with 120dB of dynamic range and utilising the Thunderbolt 2 bus functionality, the Quantum 2 offers two combo mic/line inputs and two mic/instrument inputs, each with their own dedicated and digitally controlled XMAX preamp with phantom power. Four 1/4 inch TRS line outputs and a headphone output with dedicated volume control also allows for a myriad of combinations to be used with the Quantum 2.
PreSonus’ mission for superior sound is once again highlighted with the Quantum 2, with audiophile grade digital converters and recallable preamps offering an enjoyable recording and listening experience. The Quantum 2 also includes PreSonus’s flexible software integration, coming equipped with their flagship Studio One Artist digital audio work station and the Studio Magic Plug-In Suite, both of which can be controlled remotely via the UC Surface Control Software.
PreSonus are distributed in Australia through Link Audio.
