Friedman unveil the ear-splitting BE-100 Deluxe Amplifier

Powered by a whopping four EL34 power tubes and five 12AX7 preamp tubes, the BE-100 Deluxe boasts two gain channels based on the coveted (albeit questionably named) Brown Eye and Hairy Brown Eye amplifiers, both of which have their own separate gain and master controls for added flexibility. Both the Brown Eye and Hairy Brown Eye channels share a three-band EQ with treble, mid and bass controls. The BE-100 Deluxe also features a brand new Thump control, utilising a three-way frequency switch and a volume knob to let you adjust the low-end response from the amp alongside the attenuated frequency for further sonic versatility.

For those who care about clean tones, the Friedman BE-100 Deluxe also offers a Plexi Clean channel with controls for gain, volume and three-band EQ. This circuit is based on the Friedman Smallbox. Whether you’re looking to muster some mild beefy crunch or a ear-splitting, earth-shuddering high-gain sound, you’ll be in safe hands with the BE-100 Deluxe.

On top of all that, there’s a master volume control for all channels – a new feature for the BE range – as well as Friedman’s coveted FX loop for pure pedal pairings. This one looks like it’s a bit of a filth mongerer. Hopefully Mum lets us put the volume knob above 2…
