Bloc Party to play ‘Silent Alarm’ in full during 2018 Australian tour

Revisiting Their Celebrated Debut LP

Thirteen years on since the release of their phenomenal debut record Silent Alarm, Bloc Party is preparing to perform the album live and in full for the first time in Australia.

The Londoners who helped pave the way for a new generation of English guitar bands will make long-awaited stops in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane to perform their instant classic for Aussie fans, featuring hits like their double A-side single of 'So Here We Are' and 'Positive Tension'.

 

 

Since its release in February 2005, Silent Alarm has become a much-loved record and continues to make an impact to this day. Now, Bloc Party is giving fans the chance to see how they’ve contributed to garage rock – and why they’ll remain an integral part of the genre for decades to come.

 

The tour announcement follows Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke’s intimate East Coast shows earlier in 2018. If you missed Okereke’s tour, you’ll want to make note of these tour dates:

Tuesday November 26: Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne, VIC

Friday November 30: Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, NSW  

Saturday December 1: Riverstage, Brisbane, QLD
