Powderfinger's Bernard Fanning and You Am I's Tim Rogers are set to appear as some of the primary guest speakers at upcoming Byron Writers Festival featuring 140 writers, thinkers and commentators giving talks across the three-day period this coming August.
The beautiful coastal town of Byron Bay and the wider Northern Rivers region is set to play host to a six-stage, three-day event showcasing the insight of many exceptional writers from a wide array of writing styles through seminars, readings, debates and workshops . Bernard Fanning and Tim Rogers will be offering rare glimpses into their songwriting processes as a main event, alongside comedian Kitty Flanagan and acclaimed Australian artist Tracy Moffat.
There is plenty more on offer with presentations from local and international speakers including Hyeonseo Lee, the global best-selling North Korean defector and Future D Fidel, whose award-winning book Schindler's Ark went on to be developed into the Oscar-winning Schindler's List, just to name a few. The long list of talent will provide valuable inspiration and inside knowledge to aspiring writers, or even established writers looking to gain some perspective.
The Byron Writers Festival will take place between Friday August 3 and Sunday August 5. More information can be found on the official website here.
