BAR MANAGER – HOWLER BAR & THEATRE (Melbourne)

Howler Bar & Theatre, one of Brunswick’s favourite venues, is currently seeking a full time experienced and motivated bar manager to join their team to provide exceptional customer service, drive and passion. 

 

Skills Required: 

  • Excellent organisational skills

Tasks Include:

  • Recruitment, and training of all bartenders

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER, ARTIST AND SECTOR DEVELOPMENT – SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE (Sydney) 

Sydney’s iconic Opera House is looking for an associate producer for their artist and sector development area.

 

Skills Required:

  • Deep previous experience in in the arts and entertainment fields, including managing artist logistics with extensive operational experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in delivery of live events, developing projects, programs and financial arrangements
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Australian performing arts ecology with a particular focus on small to medium scale and/or independent companies and artists
  • Experience in developing and implementing business cases and project budgets including modelling revenue
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, often with competing priorities
  • Successful team work track record
  • Experience working with marketing and publicity staff
  • Experience negotiating and drafting contracts with artists and arts organisations
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Tasks Include:

  • Working to the direction of the Head of Programming

CONTENT CREATOR – MUSHROOM GROUP (Melbourne)

Mushroom is Australia’s largest independent entertainment company, providing a range of services for artists all over Australia and the globe. They’re looking for an in-house, music-loving content creator to join their Melbourne office.

 

Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years working in a professional environment in a content creation role
  • Graphic design skills, including photo editing skills on Photoshop, for still, animation, and motion graphic content
  • Strong video editing skills with an understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud apps, such as Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects or equivalent
  • Knowledge of codecs, image types, frame rates, resolutions, and digital workflows
  • Strong understanding and interest in various social media platforms, and how specific content types work with each platform
  • Awareness and interest in social media video production trends across all digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Youtube
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise, working across multiple briefs, projects, and timelines
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes in production plan/schedules
  • Ability to work independently within a team
  • Demonstrable experience of developing engaging content ideas
  • Great information and visual design skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates that
  • A flair for social platform copywriting is preferable
  • A passion for and knowledge of music
  • Experience editing music performance content, desired but not mandatory
  • A degree in Film, Communication or a related field is desired but not essential

Tasks Include:

  • Create engaging content for use in mixed media communications across Mushroom brand assets and Mushroom artist (label and live) assets, including but not limited to interactive content, gifs, video, and images for social media, digital, and print platforms
  • Develop and produce engaging EDM communication, including but not limited to, video e-cards, visual engagement communications, and more
  • Develop, edit, and produce engaging imagery for use in artist campaigns to media and direct-to-consumer communications
  • Conceptualise and work with various Mushroom teams and artists to develop engaging proactive and reactive campaign plans and content
  • Working with live events, planning and capturing content to be utilised for supply and engagement of media and the public
  • Presenting concepts and reporting on performance to stakeholders

AUDIO IMAGING AND CONTENT PRODUCER – iHEARTRADIO (Sydney)

ARN (Australian Radio Network) is one of the leading broadcasters in the country, with ownership or investments in 12 radio stations nationwide. They’re on the hunt for an Audio Imaging and Content Producer to be responsible for creating and producing audio imaging, packaging, content and promos for the iHeartRadio platform.

 

Skills Required:

  • Production experience – ability and experience using audio production software and equipment for editing interviews, audio grabs, producing show promos and required audio for both on air and review purposes
  • A minimum of two-years’ experience using Pro Tools (or equivalent)
  • Ability to record, mix, edit, (carting, basic nexgen skills – at a multitrack level) and enhance audio in a timely and prompt manner
  • Creative writing skills for contributing to, or complete unsupervised, show or station promos, imaging, and/or related integrated client commitments
  • Experience with working on both station and client-integrated campaigns in the capacity of writing creative copy and brief sheets for talent
  • Suitable radio, media, audio-visual qualifications from AFTRS, WAAPA or equivalent highly desirable
  • Flexibility and ability to work autonomously

Tasks Include:

  • Meeting all assigned and agreed production deadlines to iHeartRadio’s established high standards of creativity and quality
  • Timely response to topical imaging opportunities (seize the day imaging)
  • Responsible for the production and distribution of the weekly iHeartRadio Countdown for KIIS and syndication partners
  • Editing of interviews, show segments, vignettes or other weekly content requirements

  • APRA reporting for all iHeartRadio in association

Skills Required:

  • Experience in producing content for either radio, television or online
  • Strong proficiency and ability in video/photo shooting and editing within quick turnarounds
  • An ability to work autonomously and can prioritise and organise resources while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • An energy, hunger and passion for digital and be a leader in the digital space
