PR/COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR – Mushroom Group (Melbourne)
Mushroom Group seek a full time Melbourne based PR/Communications Coordinator to join the Marketing + Communications team working across its live division. Playing a key role in publicising and promoting tours and events by industry leaders, Frontier Touring, Chugg Entertainment and Illusive Presents (among others), on a daily basis you’ll be in the thick of it coordinating artist access, interview schedules and promotional opportunities and, of course, securing editorial placements.
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
- Minimum 2+ years paid experience in a relevant music industry or media role
- A strong involvement and passion for the music and live entertainment industry
- Manages own time effectively and clearly identifies processes and steps that need to be taken to meet role requirements and objectives across multiple projects
- A team player who is comfortable working in a close knit team across a number of projects and accept input from others
- Communicates clearly and concisely in all types of environments both verbally and in writing
Tasks Include:
- Maintain and develop relationships with allocated media (online, select print, regional radio, community radio, podcasts) securing interview/editorial placements and promotions.
- Act as the lead Artist Relations contact on allocated projects liaising with artist management, artists, record companies and agents to secure interview time and promotions with touring artists.
- Develop comprehensive and proactive PR plans and timelines with a view to maximising the tour profile and ticket sales.
- Media release and copy writing.
- Prioritise, coordinate, supervise and conduct artist on-ground promotional and phone schedules.
- Provide support to Communication Directors as required.
- Monitor and compile media coverage reports.
- Provide overall weekly campaign reports.
- Maintain a centralised media/industry database.
- Escort photographers and media at concerts/launches.
- Attend concerts, events and launches in a work capacity.

They sell their own brand of guitars, drums and accessories direct to the public through our online stores in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe and USA. They are currently looking for a committed casual sales administration assistant to join their growing team during the busy period from early November to early January.
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
- You must be process-driven and willing to take direction
- Strong computer literacy, accurate data entry and high level of attention to detail
- A good knowledge of guitars, bass and drums. Violin, keyboard and pro audio knowledge is a bonus
- The ability to troubleshoot a customer’s problem over the phone or online.
- The ability to use initiative and think on your feet
- Experience buying through online stores and Ebay
- Physically fit – there is some heavy lifting
- A good work ethic
- Friendly and outgoing personality
Tasks Include:
- Handling product returns: receiving goods back into the warehouse and following a strict ingestion & parts/replacement process.
- Assisting the warehouse team with stock management and order fulfillment processes.
- Managing our spare parts inventory, using existing systems to reorder as necessary.
- Assisting with customer service in the showroom during peak times.

The iconic Arts Centre Melbourne is currently looking for someone to join their team as the broadcast operations manager. This position is responsible for driving revenue and delivering broadcast services and all other related filming services across the entire arts precinct.
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
- Experience in managing and developing teams within a complex recording, broadcast and/or post production
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of broadcast operations and high level of technical expertise across live streaming, broadcast automation and post production
- Experience in high level financial areas
- Proven experience with and understanding of current technology, operating systems and applications
Tasks Include:
- Lead the Corporate Services team to deliver quality, engaging content
- Drive commercial growth in areas of broadcast and digital content services and meet targets
- Develop capital works projects to ensure Arts Centre Melbourne’s broadcast technology remains at world class standards
- Manage the Broadcast Studios at Hamer Hall and other related broadcast activities throughout the arts precinct
- Support clients in delivering their creative vision
