JUNIOR DIGITAL SHOW PRODUCER – NOVA (Sydney)

One of Australia’s biggest radio networks, Nova Entertainment, is seeking a full time digital and social media guru to join their Sydney offices as Junior Digital Show Producer.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • A journalist or writer with previous experience in the digital media industry
  • The ability to create a different, interesting angle from everyday news
  • The ability to create a catchy hook
  • Exceptional social media skills 
  • Experience and understanding of HTML required for content publishing, Content Management Systems (CMS) and Photoshop

 

Tasks Include:

  • The production, creation and execution of audio, visual, interactive and editorial content for Nova Entertainment websites and social media presence
  • The role will include a particular focus on the Kate Time and Marty program and Smallzy’s Surgery

MUSIC INDUSTRY PATHWAYS COORDINATOR – THE PUSH (Melbourne)

 

The Push is a not-for-profit, statewide entity aiming to highlight youth participation in music events across Victoria. Based in Brunswick, The Push are currently seeking an individual to join the team in a full time role as Music Industry Pathways Coordinator.

 

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Victorian contemporary music industry, its artists and businesses
  • Demonstrated project management experience in a related area
  • Networks within the Victorian contemporary music sector
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current issues facing younger people seeking a music career
  • Disciplined time management and polished project coordination skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook in a Mac environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team in a community setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Can demonstrate a working and presentation style relatable to younger people
  • The employee agrees to submit and successfully complete a Victorian Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Current full Victorian drivers license
  • An educational qualification relevant to the position
  • Previous experience in the music industry is also desirable

 

Tasks Include:

  • Working under the direction of the Mentoring and Development Manager, provide support and key activities of The Push mentoring and development programs and funded professional development projects 
  • Coordinate a range of projects related to The Push, Music Industry Pathways and other Push Projects to support young and emerging participants
  • Coordinate the Face The Music annual regional workshop series, opportunities within the Victorian contemporary music industry and related sectors
  • Work with music industry businesses, educators, music agencies, young people and local music reps to achieve the goals of the Music Industry Pathways program
  • Research, develop and compile digital resources for the Music Industry Pathways online portal including written and A/V material
  • Work on the annual Face The Music summit and other music industry workshops as required as part of the Face The Music team
  • Organise and implement a series of small networking events to support the activities of The Push programs
  • Maintain sufficient program records and support the preparation and submission of reports to key funding bodies

PROJECT COORDINATOR – FREEZA PUSH START (Melbourne)

As an offshoot of The Push, FReeZA Push Start supplies countless youth across Victoria with a dedicated platform for live music, helping to support young artists in their formative years as musicians. FReeZA Push Start is currently accepting applications for a part time Project Coordinator position to join their headquarters in Brunswick.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Demonstrated high level project and event management skills in music industry areas
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with, motivate, and relate well to young people
  • Experience in reporting to funding bodies and stakeholders on project outcomes
  • Possess a high level of music industry experience and expertise that enables them to offer authoritative advice and high-quality services to artists
  • An up-to-date knowledge of local music industry cultures, trends, and issues that specifically relate to artists and audiences under the age of 21
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team in a community setting
  • Excellent phone manner, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Current full Victorian drivers license
  • The employee agrees to submit and successfully complete a Victorian Police Check and Working With Children Check
  • A good understanding of the role of The Push and its current programs and activities
  • Experience in fundraising

 

Tasks Include:

  • Provide day to day administrative, communications, and project coordination for the FReeZA Push Start program
  • Provide advice on FReeZA Push Start to young performers, FReeZA workers, and prospective event producers
  • Submit funding applications, acquittals, and reports for funding bodies, sponsors and other stakeholders on the FReeZA Push Start program
  • Liaise with FReeZA Providers to confirm annual FReeZA Push Start heat events, achieving targets for events booked, and to confirm arrangements for nine annual FReeZA Push Start Regional Final events
  • Coordinate the FReeZA Push Start Grand Final held at St Kilda Festival in February each year
  • Liaise with City of Port Phillip and Southern Metropolitan FReeZA committees to deliver The Push Stage at St Kilda festival and FReeZA committee training sessions in the lead up to the event
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns for both the program launch and Grand Final events 
  • Liaise with sponsors, stakeholders, contracted art designer(s), and print production suppliers
