Musical education is a fundamental part of schooling that’s often overlooked and underfunded by both teachers and governments alike. The Blue Guitar Project is a Sydney-based youth charity aiming to support teenagers by promoting all aspects of music, including lyric writing, production, photography and guitar making, culminating in an exhibition at the end of the program. Currently, The Blue Guitar Project is seeking talented music mentors to help out disadvantaged kids and inspire others to make a difference with music, with both casual and intern roles available.
Skills/Responsibilites Required:
- Must be expierenced in writing, recording, performing and teaching music
- A Working With Children Check is required if successful

WRITER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE – APRA AMCOS (Adelaide)
Representing the publishing rights of Australian recording artists and musicians, APRA AMCOS is currently seeking a Representative to join their Writer Services department in Adelaide.
Skills/Responsibilites Required:
- Experience within the music business industry
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Public presentation experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Customer service focus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
Tasks Include:
- Providing high quality APRA AMCOS membership service to existing and potential members and their representatives
- Co-ordinating, budgeting, facilitating and evaluating SA Writer Services events as required.
- Deliver presentations to music industry colleges, TAFE and tertiary institutions as part of the APRA AMCOS educational outreach program
- Actively promote and establish music industry relationships with APRA AMCOS

PUBLISHER RELATIONS + REPETOIRE DEPARMENT – APRA ACMOS (Sydney)
APRA ACMOS also have three positions up for offer in their head office in Sydney, including roles for a Registered Works Officer and Research Officer in their repetoire department and a Resolutions Officer in their publisher relations department.
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
- Strong numeracy skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Accuracy & attention to detail
- Strong research skills especially the effective and efficient use of search engines, online resources and databases
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook, Excel and Word
- A broad knowledge of various musical genres
- Computer literacy with good typing/data entry speeds
Tasks Include:
Registered Works Officer
- Dealing with registrations detailling ownership claims and records of musical works
- Adding/amending ownership details
- Licensing works within the APRA AMCOS repertoire
Research Officer
- Identifying musical works, ownership completion and database maintenance
- Enabling the accurate distribution of royalties and supporting the licensing of public performances, recordings, broadcast and communication
Resolutions Officer
- Providing a high level of customer service to publisher members and assisting them with APRA AMCOS business queries
- Assisting publishers with resolving publisher counterclaims of high earning works
- Enabling correct distribution payments and processing publisher bulk registration files
