The WA-CX12 is their AKG C12 recreation and is a large diaphragm tube condenser mic.
The microphone is based around a 12AY7 valve, and pairs a CK12-style capsule with a TAB-Funkenwerk USa output transformer.
The original CK12 capsule is widely considered to be one of the finest condenser microphone capsules in history.
Although AKG changed diaphragm materials and weights, and changed the size of the chamber between the backplates over time, the basic design remained the same: a dual-backplate large-diaphragm capsule with twin edge-terminated diaphragms.
The faithful emulation will deliver professional recordings for vocals, piano, and room sounds.
The WA-47F is their Neumann U47 FET recreation and uses the K47 capsule as its base model of reproduction.
The mic is able to handle up to 137dB SPLs (with a 10dB pad available), and is ideal for tracking horns, amps, and drums.
It comes with a built-in hard mount and a wooden box.
