The Melbourne builder’s six character-driven effects pedals are inspired by classic tones and legendary players, designed to work together as a curated ecosystem.

TONECAT’s Home of Tone may not be your traditional household, but it’s a family all the same. Built in small batches in Melbourne, this collection of six boutique guitar pedals brings more than great tone – each one has its own personality and backstory that draws from classic circuits and legendary players.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

Take Daughter Luna, a Bluesbreaker-inspired overdrive described as “learning how far to push the boundary.” Curious and expressive, Luna lives between clean and breakup, offering smooth clipping, open dynamics, and touch-sensitive response. Think John Mayer or Eric Clapton’s Bluesbreaker era, controlled but with plenty of room to explore.

Walk further through the house, and you’ll meet Cousin Ziggy, the chaos-loving fuzz who is loud, unpredictable and impossible to tame. A classic Fuzz Face-inspired circuit pushed further with multiple bias options, Ziggy delivers everything from tight electro fuzz to full sonic collapse. Jimi Hendrix and Jack White would feel right at home here.

For those after classic delay tones, Cousin Max & Milo are the echo-loving twins who refuse to stop at one repeat. Their warm analog-voiced delay is inspired by bucket-brigade circuits and sits musically behind your playing, channelling The Edge and David Gilmour.

Grandpa Hugo brings the confidence of a Tube Screamer-inspired overdrive, and is mid-forward, balanced, and versatile enough to stack with amps and other pedals. Fans of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore will get along with Hugo, with clarity and character in equal measure.

Cousin Cosmo is always a little out of orbit – dreamy, and always drifting away. A vintage ’70s phaser-inspired circuit, Cosmo drifts between gentle motion and deep, swirling modulation that pulls your tone into psychedelic territory. Eddie Van Halen’s early years and Robin Trower are the reference points.

Rounding out the family is Papa, a clean boost inspired by classic transparent-style circuits. Subtle, supportive, and essential, Papa offers massive headroom with gentle tone shaping. Papa Booster is perfect for session guitarists and tone purists who want lift without colour.

If you’re after a bundle deal, TONECAT has your back. Adopt Twins includes two pedals plus a premium patch cable, while Adopt Trio bundles three pedals with two premium patch cables. Each pedal comes with an exclusive collectible card, reinforcing the idea that you’re not just buying effects, but building a family of tones.

Home of Tone is designed for both beginners and pros, reimagining classic circuits with modern reliability and a whole lot of character.
