Formed in 2010, Chinese band STOLEN blend techno, darkwave, and post-punk influences, creating a  high-energy sound that is introspective, exploratory and most of all, irresistibly danceable. In this episode of Fender Sessions, STOLEN perform three songs on Fender American Vintage II series guitars, including “Capture the Star” from their latest album and two past hits “Never Believe” & “Suicidium Morbus”.

The band also discusses changes to their creative process over the years in the Fender Sessions episode, the journey of searching for their own sounds and music, and the role guitar plays in this journey.

“By now, none of our albums is very satisfactory to me, because we are never a band that can spend ten years on perfecting a project, we tend to keep and produce the sounds in our mind on the spot,” says lead singer Liang Yi of the band’s continually evolving sound.

In the video, STOLEN play an American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster, a 1972 Telecaster Thinline & a 1954 Precision Bass.
