“We’re honoured to be selected as one of the finalists for the WIPO Global Awards 2025 – and proud to be the first company from Latvia to reach this stage. At Sonarworks, intellectual property is at the core of everything we do. Our patented technologies power products used in over 250,000 studios and trusted by more than 75 Grammy-winning engineers. IP enables us to innovate, protect our market, and license our solutions globally.

This recognition highlights the critical role strong IP plays in scaling deep-tech innovation – and we’re committed to building on this foundation to shape the future of sound.” — Helmuts Bems, Co-founder & CEO, Sonarworks

Finalists were evaluated on the strength and suitability of their business models and IP portfolios, the quality of their international IP strategies, internal IP culture, and their broader impact on society. Sonarworks stood out for its inventive approach to IP within the creative sector, enabling the development and commercialization of advanced audio technologies that address the evolving needs of the music and sound industry.
