PRS showcase new SE range for 2021

Words by Will Brewster

The once-budget range just keeps getting better.

Days after revealing the awesome new Mark Lettieri Fiore signature model – and that iridescent John Mayer Silver Sky – PRS are back with another slew of new gear announcements for 2021, revealing what’s in store for their SE range this year.

Kicking off at the top, the PRS SE range will see an overhaul of the long-standing Zach Myers signature model, which is now finished in the Myers Blue scheme and boasts and a figured maple headstock veneer in the same finish. Other new additions include vintage-style tuners with black pegs, while the pickup bobbins are also decked out in black to boot.

2021 will also see PRS update their beloved SE Custom 24 with a shallow violin body carve to make playing a little more comfortable. There’s also the addition of the Custom 24-08, which makes its debut in the SE range and expands on the basis of the Custom 24 by adding two toggle switches to coil-split the guitar’s humbuckers.

Finally, there’s also a bunch of new finishes coming to various models in the SE range. These include the introduction of Tobacco Sunburst to the PRS SE P20 Parlor acoustics, as well as Faded Blue Wraparound for the SE Kingfisher bass for an eye-catching visual aesthetic.

PRS Guitars are distributed nationwide via Electric Factory.
