The library of sounds featured in the MX88 are based on the Yamaha’s Motif sound engine, with acoustic piano sounds, synth leads, pads and more.
Also featured is a class-compliant, bi-directional USB audio/MIDI interface that allows the MX88 to be easily connected to Windows and Mac computers for recording or monitoring purposes. There is a USB host mode designed to interact with Yamaha’s FM Essential App, which can be used to add an FM synthesis engine with 256 voices.
