Boasting a bubinga pommelé body with natural oil finish and a boutique wenge and afzelia-striped ‘hidden neck’ construction, the Custom Shop Streamer Stage II also features two custom-built Nordstrand MM Style pickups with individual pickup volumes, balance, mid, treble and bass controls, allowing for Chancellor to dial in the myriad of bass tones heard across Tool’s discography.
The new Streamer Stage II also includes a tiger-striped ebony fretboard, complete with illuminated fingerboard side dots for playing under darkness. With a new Tool album apparently being on the horizon, it’s assumed that Chancellor will use the new Streamer II on the recording of new material, straying from his standard arsenal of Wal basses favoured for more than twenty years.
