The fruit of a labourous nine month collaboration with the North Carolina singer-songwriter, the Walrus Audio DEFCON4 boasts a trio of rotary knobs to filter out low, mid and high band frequencies from your tone, allowing for additional tone sculpting for all you tone fiends out there. Three toggle switches, decked out with illuminated numbers, nonetheless, allow you to further activate or bypass the three frequency knobs, while an additional Launch rocker switch activates a meaty 10dB MOSFET signal boost.
Upon revealing the incredibly retro-inspired pedal, Adams expressed his nostalgic approach to the aesthetic design of the pedal, saying, “I want this to look like someone from the ’80s was pushing the technology they had available at the time.”
In tribute to the best decade in the history of the world (this is a fact quite undisputable), the Walrus Audio DEFCON 4 also comes packaged up in a very cool and very collectable blister pack, just like the ones your favourite Star Wars action figures came in back in the day.
Keep your eyes peeled here for when the Walrus Audio DEFCON 4 lands in Australia.
