On the inside the Peavey invective.120 features four matched JJ6L6GC output tubes with top-loaded bias test points and adjustment on it to help create a tight, heavy and modern tone. The invective.120 has three channels – clean, crunch and lead, with pre and post gain controls for the heavier channels.
The amp has a ton of control options on its rear panel, with an SDI-XLR direct output with level and tone controls, a ground lift to make it easy to take a DI signal out, and MIDI out and thru ports. The rear panel also has two remote switchable effects loops, plus there is a MIDI footswitch, with nine inbuilt presets.
The invective.212 cabinet is a 2×12 cabinet made from solid pine and a Celestion Vintage 30, paired with a Creamback G12H-75, both eight-ohm speakers.
