NAMM 2020: Audient announce intuitive new EVO audio interfaces

Featuring specifically designed preamps with a huge 58dB gain range and converters with 113dB of dynamic range, as well as a high-quality JFET instrument input, USB-C connectivity and low-latency performance, the EVO series aims to fuse “an intuitive user experience with application-specific features and stunning aesthetics,” and is aimed at both beginners and professionals alike. Whether you’re tracking demos for your new record, streaming on Twitch or creating your next podcast episode, the EVO range will be right up your alley.

What’s most exciting about these new EVO by Audient interfaces is the Smartgain feature, which automatically adjusts the gain level when you begin singing, speaking or playing your instrument. Audient’s marketing director Andy Allen heralds this as a feature suitable for both beginners and experienced home recordists, saying “This is perfect for anyone who wants to focus on being creative, or perhaps is just starting out. Of course pros can still dial in the gain manually, if they choose – as well as benefiting from other features they’d expect from a professional audio interface.”

Audient are kicking off the EVO with two different models – the EVO 4 and EVO 8. The EVO 4 features two mic preamps and two outputs, while the EVO 8 adds in two extra preamps and a secondary pair of speaker outputs and another headphone output.
