Built from sturdy Silver Leaf maple with a maple neck and Indian laurel fretboard with a 25.5″ scale, this Canadian/US made instrument fuses all the best aspects of a Stratocaster with a unique electronics setup to assist in nailing a range of tones. Godin have loaded the Session HT with GS-1 singlecoil pickups in the middle and neck position, while a Godin Custom humbucker keeps things nice and crunchy down near the bridge. The instrument also features a push/pull tone knob to split the coils to achieve even more tones.
The Godin Session HT is available in three different finishes: Matte Black, Trans Cream and Bourbon Burst. For the pricepoint listed, these guitars seem to be superb in the quality department – it’ll be interesting to see whether consumers catch on to these ones.
Godin Guitars are distributed in Australia through Dynamic Music.
