The Radium combines the designs of the brand’s Radiator and Stadium guitars (get it – Rad-ium?) to create a bold new shape that lays somewhere between Telecaster and Les Paul territory. It boasts a 24 3/4″ scale with a set-neck and two different tonewood configurations: the Winchester Brown and the Carbon Black. The Winchester Brown Radium features a mahogany center with Canadian laurentian basswood wings and a mahogany neck, while the Carbon Black offers a laurentian basswood body and Silver Lead maple set-neck.
In the electronics department, both models include three pickups with a five-way switch and push-pull tone pots to access a myriad of tonal variations. The Winchester Brown is fitted with vintage-voiced custom Godin nickel-covered humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions, while a Godin custom cajun nickel single coil takes up middle responsibilities. For those seeking a bit more juice, the Black Radium boasts dual hot-wired Zebra humbuckers in the bridge and neck, with a Cajun single coil sitting pretty in the middle.
