Fender add new finishes to American Original series

If Fender’s original finishes were a little too traditional for your liking, you’ll definitely be a fan of these new finishes, inspired by the alternative Dupont custom colours offered back in the company’s golden years.

These include Inca Silver and Shell Pink, which are applied to the ’50s and ’60s Stratocaster respectively, plus a Burgundy Mist Metallic ’60s Telecaster, Daphne Blue for the Fender ’60s Jaguar and a cool Ice Blue Metallic coat for the ’60s Jazzmaster.

Fender have also decked out four basses from the American Original series with these new finishes: namely Aztec Gold and Surf Green for the ’50s and ’60s Precision Bass, and Sonic Blue and Vintage White for the ’60s and ’70s Jazz Bass.

While it’d be nice to have all these finishes available as options for each model in the series, it’s still cool to see Fender paying renewed attention to the American Original series – plus that Shell Pink Stratocaster looks crazy.
