EPIPHONE ANNOUNCES NEW ARCHTOP GUITAR

Better known as Johnny A., John Antonopoulos has played with Santana as well as the Yardbirds, and this model is based on his double-cutaway Gibson Custom archtop. Complete with a sunset glow finished flame maple top, the Johnny A. also features ’57 classic wax potted humbuckers as well as an ebony fingerboard.

 

The guitar also features a thinline style semi-hollow Mahogany body with a double cutaway and modern non-script f-holes, with a matching black pickguard. The body of the Johnny A. The Mahogany neck has a Custom ‘C’ profile with 3-ply pure white and black binding, a 12″ radius neck with 22 medium frets and 1.69″ nut. Most known for his work with vibrato courtesy of the whammy bar, the guitar also comes standard with a Bigsby B70 vibrato.
