The Ampeg PF-20T and PF-50T are all-tube heads that are “modern interpretations of Ampeg’s legendary low-wattage, all-tube designs.” Both deliver a wide range of tones and are useful for recording in a studio environment.
Both new heads are compatible with any Ampeg Portaflex cabinet, including the new PH-112HLF cab, which sports a 1×12” design and a selectable high-frequency driver and porting for “added low-frequency extension”.
“The incredible versatility of these heads make them more than just a great entry into Ampeg tube tone, but also an amazing tool in the studio or on the stage for bass players at any level,” says Williams.
These new releases join the Ampeg Portaflex series which features the Class-D PF-350, PF-500 and PF-800 bass heads and the PF-115HE, PF-210HE, PF-115LF and PF-410HLF bass enclosures.
