Parish Audio has released Warpfield, a new creative time-manipulation plugin designed to transform existing audio into new melodies, countermelodies, rhythms, and textures.
Rather than focusing on a single time-based effect, Warpfield includes six different processing modes: Stretch, Reverse, Stop, Stutter, Repeat, and Warp.

Each mode approaches the incoming signal differently, allowing the same source material to be reorganized into alternate melodic phrases, rhythmic patterns, reversed sections, tape-style movement, repeated fragments, and continuously shifting textures.
Melody and countermelody generation
Stretch mode can turn synth lines, piano, vocals, guitars, and other melodic material into slower alternate phrases and countermelodies that remain directly connected to the original performance.
Stretch captures musical windows and plays selected portions back at slower speeds. Blending the processed signal with the source can turn a relatively simple part into a denser arrangement containing additional harmonic and melodic movement.
Warpfield is equally suited to rhythmic transformation. Drums, percussion, arpeggios, sequenced synths, chopped vocals, and loops can become entirely new grooves through Stutter and Repeat.
Warpfield is available now for $34.97 USD during its initial release. Regular price: $69.95 USD. Keep reading here.
