New ORIA Mini hardware brings professional room correction to every studio

ORIA Mini
Words by Mixdown Staff

Introducing the ORIA Mini – a dedicated hardware room correction system that sits between your audio interface and speakers, instantly transforming any monitoring setup into a professionally calibrated environment.

You’ve probably been there – spending hours on a mix that sounds perfect in your studio, only to play it in the car or on your headphones and realise something’s way off. The problem isn’t your ears, your skills, or even your monitors. It’s your room. Unwanted reflections and frequency build-ups are colouring what you hear, making it impossible to make accurate mixing decisions. That’s where ORIA Mini comes in. Partnering with Sonarworks, this little box solves room acoustic problems without the headaches of software-only solutions.

What’s in the box?

The ORIA Mini Complete package includes everything you need: the ORIA Mini hardware unit and calibration measurement microphone.

Here’s how it works:

Getting started takes less than 20 minutes. Use the included microphone and software to measure your room, create a custom calibration profile and then load it onto the ORIA Mini. Your room will now be professionally calibrated, and unlike plugin solutions, there’s zero CPU strain, no latency issues and no need to remember to activate it in your DAW.

You can store up to four different profiles on the device and switch between them instantly. If you want to hear how your mix translates to a car stereo or a smartphone speaker, load those simulations and test without leaving your chair.

What makes it special:

The ORIA Mini packs serious specs into its compact frame. Advanced 32-bit converters with 127dB dynamic range deliver crystal-clear audio, revealing every detail in your mix. Connections include stereo TRS and S/PDIF inputs, plus dedicated outputs for your main speakers and subwoofer (supporting up to 2.1 systems). Everything runs at 24-bit/96kHz and powers via USB 3.0 – no wall wart needed.

Beyond Sonarworks profiles, you can manually dial in room correction using software like Smaart or RoomEQ Wizard. Adjust EQ, delay, trim, and bass management for each output channel to fine-tune your monitoring environment exactly how you want it. Remote control via Stream Deck and iPad is also supported for seamless workflow integration.

Already own Sonarworks? You can grab the ORIA Mini in different configurations – including an add-on bundle for existing SoundID users or the hardware-only version if you prefer to use other calibration software.

For anyone tired of second-guessing their mixes or constantly checking them on multiple systems, ORIA Mini offers a pretty straightforward solution.
