The streamlined DJ software brings two decks, creative tools and Beatport integration without the learning curve.
Native Instruments has released Traktor Play, a streamlined version of Traktor Pro 4 designed for DJs who want the essentials without the learning curve.
The software strips things back to two decks with all the core mixing features you’d expect: visualised waveforms, key track information, pitch fader and hot cues. You can start with just your laptop (no controller required), though it works plug-and-play with an ever-growing list of hardware, including AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX2 and FLX4, plus Reloop Ready and Buddy controllers.

Traktor Play uses the same sound engine and key correction that pros trust, along with Traktor’s famously accurate sync and key detection. EQs and filters are modelled on industry-standard mixers, and a pro-grade master limiter keeps everything clean.
Creative tools include studio-grade reverb, delay and gater effects from Native Instruments. Mixer FX let you filter or add delays with a single control. Strip out all the drums with one button using streamlined stem separation, or drop in 808 patterns from Traktor’s Pattern Player.
Looping comes in 11 sizes with loop rolls for chopping up tracks. Jump to key moments with eight hot cues or eight hot loops, and use Flux Mode to build energy before a drop. AutoMix handles hands-free background listening when you need a break.
Beatport integration means you can access millions of tracks through Beatport Previews without logging in. New users get two free months of Beatport Streaming Advanced, covering over 40 genres.
When you’re ready for more advanced features, you can upgrade to Traktor Pro 4 at an exclusive price.
Traktor Play launched on 20 October 2025 and comes free with AlphaTheta FLX2 and FLX4, as well as Reloop Buddy and Ready controllers. Compatible with macOS 12-16 and Windows 10-11.
